SPRING HAPPENINGS
Just a note to announce our upcoming schedule this spring. A couple of these are prompted by one big change of late: Kosuke has become a new father! As such, he’s going to take a couple weeks away with his family. Parental leave usually takes some creative rearranging, and even more so when one owns a restaurant. We’ve devised a schedule that we think (hope!) will make lots of folks happy. See all of the dates below.
During Kosuke’s time out of the kitchen, we’re excited that our Ehsan will be stepping up to orchestrate his Iranian menu at Mijoté with our usual team. We’re also psyched to be serving natural wine with Iranian food, something that doesn’t happen much but we know will be great.
If you don’t know Ehsan, he is one of the cooks of our small team at Mijoté. Born in Tehran and raised in the Bay Area, he loves the unjustly controversial Mission burrito as much as lamb kabobs wrapped in lavash. California love aside, his most cherished flavors are impossibly elegant Iranian stone fruits, smoky black tea, lemon basil, stinky golpar on orange slices, and even stinkier Iranian countryside butter on delicate rice.
Looking forward to seeing all of you very soon.
